| Introduction | I was born and raised in Yuma, Arizona, which at the time was just a small farming community in the middle of the desert in the far southwestern corner of the state. It was in many ways the idylic American 50's life. We truly "had it all." My father was a farmer from a long line of farmers. Our family had begun growing citrus in 1912 in southern California. I learned early on the value of hard work, and still love to be up before the sun and put in long days. I was taught to live, and if need be, die for three things - God, country, and family. I've always enjoyed reading and learning, especially history and theology. Those twin passions led me into the Holy Ministry. I attended Bethany Lutheran College and Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary, graduating with a Master's degree in Divinity in 1981. I've served congregations in southern Wisconsin, El Paso, Texas, and Las Cruces, New Mexico. I'm presently the Pastor of Trinity Orthodox Lutheran Church in Sierra Vista. |
