| Introduction | As a Hindi Cinema enthusiast I listen to music all the way from the 1930s through the golden era of melody and music - the '40s, '50s, '60s, '70s... and music of the late 20th century to present day film songs. It does not matter... music is a personal preference. What I enjoy, I tend to listen to often... as we all do. For music related projects that I work on, every now and again, there's a new song I stumble upon and will listen to it over and over again. In my blog here I will begin posting songs that the versatile, magical lyricist Anand Bakshi ji penned. He wrote film songs way back since 1957 all the way through to 2002. I hope to compile as many songs I can find - he penned almost 3,500... I may not find them all... but many have shared videos on YouTube; many thanks to you all. Another very useful resource for me is www.hindigeetmala.com. Great job, guys... I'm always searching for good quality videos and even those rare songs which occasionally are uploaded. I plan to move chronologically. If I've missed any song, and you happen to come those on YouTube, please do pitch in. Post your comment, or the link, so I can add it here. :) Thank you. |
