Prison Book Program
| Introduction | A grassroots organization since 1972, the Prison Book Program is improving the lives of inmates by providing them with free reading materials. With prisoners isolated in facilities that have chronically insufficient educational opportunities, the Prison Book Program provides books to improve the lives and educational outlooks of prisoners. In doing so, the program hopes to provide a greatly-needed service and to reduce the likelihood that participants return to prison. |
