| Introduction | One of the biggest challenges I face as a Latina (Mexican-American) mom married to an African American man is teaching my little one Spanish. I feel this huge responsibility to pass on my language and culture. My wish and desire is that my daughter grows up to be a fluent Spanish speaker, reader and writer. I want her to be a strong and proud Spanish speaking Biracial Latina. As a woman I struggle with PCOS (polysistic ovarian syndrome) and with that comes a world of symptoms and struggles I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy. Weight problems, infertility, heart decease, insulin resistance..these are just few of my battles. I am also a woman who balances career and family. I am blessed to have a loving husband and a beautiful little daughter. This blog journals my struggles with PCOS, my weight battles, infertility, my faith and Becoming a healthier me. |
