Introduction	I live in a small town in far northern Maine and have taught first or second grade for twenty eight years. Yes, I am almost a senior citizen. I have also been married to the same guy for almost twenty four years. I think I'll keep him, he's almost completely trained. I also have two children, though neither are perfect, they are both very nice human beings. I started this blog simply to be able to respond to a really funny guy named Scott who writes "The Highly Sophisticated Redneck". Apparently you have to be a blogger to post to a blog. If you want a good laugh, read this guy, he's very funny. He's also partially responsible for the name of this blog because even though I'm a far northern yankee girl with a college degree, I'm really quite a bit of a red neck underneath, and I'm proud of it!
Interests	I love reading - books,magizines, blogs, newspapers, gardening and mowing my lawn -all four acres, scrapbooking, knitting, cooking, cross-stitch, sewing, theater, painting, playing cards, computers, watching hockey, animals, and NASCAR. I also don't mind ironing and washing windows, but I HATE to clean the toilets.
