| Introduction | Dear Fellow Globebloggers & Other Readers, Here's the scoop! Sal, my good friend of 20-odd (often quite odd) years started a blog, so I felt compelled to follow suit, if only to compete to see which of us gets more hits/comments. Yes, I know it's not a particularly good reason, but damned if I'm going to yield cyberspace to my old High School English Class nemesis without putting up at least a token (if not Tolkien) effort. I'm a husband and father of two who did my share of globetrotting (50 countries /7 continents) before settling down into a life of domestic bliss. I kept copious notes of my trips in travel diaries, which I tried to write in an accessible, narrative style. Some of these notebooks, travel-worn to begin with, are now well over a decade old, and they are falling apart. So I thought I'd use this forum for typing out my journals before they further deteriorate or get misplaced. I never originally intended to blog this info to the masses, but now that I've started, I find that sharing my stories as I type adds an element of excitement to a rather mundane process.
