Introduction | I am a part-time GP in Birmingham. For the past three years I have had the privilege of leading the Royal College of General Practitioners through the Darzi era and continue to promote high-quality general practice to anyone that will listen! I believe that we have a tremendous opportunity to lead the NHS through GP Commissioning. I am an eternal optimist and believe that there is an enormous opportunity for us to build an even more effective NHS despite the financial crisis that is upon us. |
Interests | Having been born and brought up in the Black Country, I have the Baggies encoded in my DNA! This is a good season - we have a good team and perhaps we can stay up instead of bouncing up and down each year - Boing Boing!! |
Favorite music | I am currently listening to some Jazz Sax - Jan Garbarek - with Keith Jarrett - Belonging is playing as I write this blog. |
Favorite books | I am currently reading Roy Hattersley's Edwardians - a wonderful read |
