About me

GenderFemale
LocationNatick, Massachusetts, United States
IntroductionKate Bandzmer grew up getting lost in the coastal rainforests and suburban bramble bushes of western Canada. Seeking every opportunity to be surrounded by plant life, she studied horticulture in Victoria, British Columbia and operated her own garden design and maintenance business before moving to the USA with her husband and two cats. Kate now lives in Natick, Massachusetts, where winters are white, summers are bountiful, and gardeners are tenacious. When Kate is not volunteering and teaching for several local non-profits, she's exploring New England's parks and trails, or digging and dreaming in her own 10'x 15' (USDA zone 6a) yard and community plots. More often than not, she’ll grab pens, pencils, or the nearest computer to record and share the news, nature and horticultural arts that amaze her most.
