| Introduction | I was never a sporty kid, definitely a book nerd from a young age. In my tweens this expanded into music and then movies. What are music videos but mini-movies after all? I trawled the video store for the best weeklies, fighting my brother for the TV all week. When the previews would start, I would write down all the movies I wanted to watch in an exercise book and check this before the next trip to the video store. I had favourites recorded off the TV but I preferred seeing new movies, something which is still true today. I guess you could say I enjoy things which take you outside the everyday world, whether it's a book, song or movie. Movies are now my biggest enjoyment though, and I'm pretty lethal at trivia nights with movie rounds. There's just something about sitting down in a dark cinema with a group of strangers, experiencing a film and walking out knowing that you've probably all got a slightly different take on what just happened. This blog might occasionally give you my take on life but essentially it's just a record of movies I've seen and music I've seen or heard, which you may also enjoy. |
