| Introduction | Been fishing since I could hold a cane pole as a kid - I owe the love of fishing to my grandparents. One set fished the warm waters of Florida for bass, bluegill, and catfish; the other, covered the cold water realm of trout, steelhead, and salmon of the Pacific Northwest. But really, fly fishing for me wasn't a passion until I relocated here to East Tennessee 14 years ago. Man, I love this area..there is more fly water around here than you can shake a graphite or 'boo stick at. Sure, there are other places more exotic with larger and more numerous fish, but we have a unique year around fishery here that is tough to beat. Most of it relatively untapped by fly rod...and even though I love trout dearly and is my main pursuit - there are some other great fins around here to chase as well... |
