IntroductionIn compiling this blog, I want to share the memories and the history learned about my hometown, Holyoke, Massachusetts. I am fascinated by buildings and spaces, including churches, schools, plazas, industrial plants, and retail spaces. Many little-known businesses contributed to the city's growth and its residents' employment, and these will be chronicled. The Registry of Deeds, newspapers, historical books, maps, and directories are researched to gather information about the topics, their origins, and the people who worked to create their dreams. It has been quite a journey and an educational experience, and I hope you enjoy the offerings. Although care has been taken in proofreading, there is a probability of missteps along the way. Your comments are welcome, and errors will be corrected. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the journey!
