About me

Location United Kingdom
Introduction A few years ago, the most I knew about Britain was that it was part of the European Union, the accents made me weak in the knees, and that there was a rumor going around that the food was pretty bad.

Today, I know that Britain tends to pick and choose to what extent it wants to be a part of the EU, that some of the accents are a little less desirable (and intelligible) than others, and that the food can be surprisingly...charming.

I learned a lot about traveling, the Queen's English, and myself during my trips to England. And I also fell in love. I fell in love with a country that has strong values, endearing culture, and horrible weather.

I have spent the better part of my twenties in the UK, living like the natives - driving, drinking and perfecting my stiff upper lip.

Despite being a self-proclaimed technophobe, I have decided to blog about my adventure, in the hopes that by doing so, I can share my challenges, observations, cultural embarrassments, and an American's take on life across the pond!
