| Introduction | My career an early years care and education begun when I was in England, I started to work in Leapfrog Day Nursery, one of the leading day care in England, as it was convenient for me since my son was placed in that center. The nursery provides full day care from babies to 5 years of age. Throughout the day, the children were equipped with various activities from painting, water play, sand play, outdoor (even when it was really cold outside) and many more. These activities amazed me for the children not only have fun but at the same time, they develop their communication skills, movements, independence, and many more. Whereas in Malaysia, children were pressured into writing and learning. Throughout my 4 years in England, I worked towards gained National Vocational Qualification (III) in Early Years Care and Education. Upon reaching Penang, I started Fingertips Day Nursery with the aim of providing good quality care and foundation for the children. Beside NVQ (III) in Early Year Care & Education, I also gained my Diploma in Montessori from MMI-London. |
