| Introduction | My name is Mark and I'm a native English speaker from Australia (British English). After spending time in the defence force and operating my own fitness business I was called to teach English. I left Australia on a one-way ticket bound for China in May 2012 and started teaching elementary, middle and high school children at a private boarding school at Nanning, southwest China. After a little over 12 months in Nanning I proceeded to a small town south of Beijing where I taught at a training school. The school was about 200kms South of Beijing. Currently, I am teaching at a training school in Haiphong, Vietnam. As I want to dedicate my life to teaching I started my Bachelor of Education (Primary) with Swinburne University of Technology. All of my study takes place in an online classroom with the exception of 4 practical teaching placements. I have completed a total of 20 units and one practical placement so I am well on the way to achieving my lifelong dream. |
