| Introduction | A paramedic for nine years, Allen works with the British Columbia Ambulance Service. His vocation has allowed him the opportunity to meet people from all walks of life. Allen has also worked as a mechanical designer, project engineer, first aid attendant, general labourer at an oil refinery, farm hand, janitor and grocery bagger. The chance to think critically and to help others drew Allen to a profession in health care. The youngest of three brothers, Allen is also an uncle to five nephews. Allen is excited to be part of District 5050's exchange to India. He is looking forward to learning more about its people, culture and history, and to seeing the delivery of pre-hospital care in another country. |
