About me

IndustryNon-Profit
LocationSan Francisco, CA, United States
IntroductionMy heritage is Jewish, as was my upbringing. I became a Christian (of the broad evangelical variety) roughly 20 years ago. About four years ago, I was radically "converted" to the Reformed faith through reading John Calvin's "Institutes of the Christian Religion." I am passionately (some might say obnoxiously!) interested in, and committed to, confessional Reformed theology, piety, and practice. I have been on staff with Jews for Jesus since shortly after becoming a Christian. (The views expressed in this blog are my own and do not reflect those of the organization I work with.) I have a BFA in Illustration from Art Center College of Design and an MA in Intercultural Studies from Fuller Theological Seminary. I am a member of an Orthodox Presbyterian church.
InterestsI really do have other interests (!) besides Reformed theology and practice, but these days that overriding passion is for the most part eclipsing those.
Favorite booksThe Bible, Institutes of the Christian Religion (by John Calvin), Kingdom Prologue (by Meredith G. Kline), Marrow of Modern Divinity (by Edward Fisher), Institutes of Elenctic Theology (by Francis Turretin), Communion with God (by John Owen), Gospel Mystery of Sanctification (by Walter Marshall), Systematic Theology (by Charles Hodge), Systematic Theology (by Louis Berkhof), Recovering Mother Kirk (by D.G. Hart), The Lost Soul of American Protestantism (by D.G. Hart)
