About me

Location Eureka, California, United States
Introduction Since childhood, I have been immersed in a world of history, particularly the history of the American West. While other kids played baseball, I used to spend my summer afternoons dressed up as a Revolutionary War soldier or as a member of the Lewis and Clark Expedition. Later, my study of history became more formal and I earned a Bachelor's degree at the University of Oregon, as well as working as a historical interpreter at Bodie State Historic Park in the summer of 2009. My studies continued and I received my master's degree this summer when I submitted my thesis on the Chinese-American experience in northwestern California. I am also a member of the Western History Association, the California Historical Society, and the Humboldt County Historical Society. But even after all of these years, I still like to spend my afternoons wearing costumes and talking about history. I look forward to meeting you and introducing you to the fascinating history of northern California.
