| Introduction | I'm the old guy. I am sick and tired of arguements consisting only of postpartum, ad-hoc, sound-bite zingers. If any of my blogs engage in this type of rhetoric, please comment and I will fix it (if I agree). If you disagree with any of my blogs (and would like to comment), please Make Your Case-Don't just throw your favorite sound-bit zinger at it. We get enough of that in the left and right-wing media. I believe that real solutions are simple and direct. I object to labels. If you consider yourself a "Progressive", I doubt if you agree with some of the early Progressive writers who believed in Eugenics or the disposal of citizens who couldn't demonstrate their "value" to society. If I did have to label my politics I would have to say that I am a "Strict Constitutionalist". I don't neccessarily want to be but reason makes me that way. Any reasoned arguements against this would be appreciated. I believe in Free Enterprise and consequently, Capitalism but this doesn't mean (again with the labels) I believe in investment banking or the Federal Reserve. Heck, just read some of my blogs. |
