| Introduction | Depenbusch families in America can trace their origins to Heinrich Depenbusch. Henry was born on June 13, 1868, near Bokel, and Baptised in St. Johannes Kirche in Rietberg, Westphalia, Germany. On April 5, 1886 he arrived in New York harbor on the steamship "WERRA" from Bremen, Germany. On May 11, 1888 he became a Citizen in Osage County, Missouri and on October 12, 1892 he wed Catherine Schinstock in Westpoint, Iowa. By 1893 they lived in Westpoint Nebraska, by 1910 they settled on the Nashville, Kansas farm and by 1924 he acquired the Zenda, Sand Creek homestead. |
