| Introduction | Joe Lake has an entry in 'Who's Who', the Tasmanian inaugural edition for 2008.I am a founding member of the Europa Poets of which Dr Vi Woodhouse is also a funding member. Michael Garrad, editor by profession edits the Gazette. Just recently Vi Woodhouse and Dr Mary Kill have won jointly, with Peter Stratford second and Loretta Gaul, third in the Burnie. I won last year s Poetry Slam they will be going on to the semi-final in Launceston. We hold the Europa Poetry Gold Cup here in Burnie on Oct. 30 2009. Joe was born in Austria and came to Australia in 1960. In 1988, he and his wife, Judy who writes poetry under the name Judith Brumby-Lake -Brumby being her maiden name. Joe has a Diploma in Arts Craft and Design. He has created Hamlet Publishing, promoting many Tasmaninan writers. The Gazette is published and available for free mainly at coffee shops and libraries in the NW of Tasmania. |
