| Introduction | I grew up with 12 brothers and sisters. Our father was a pastor. I married Janet Hamilton from Star, Texas, in 1972. We have three grown children and seven grandchildren. I worked as a reporter for the city desk of The Times-Picayune in New Orleans. I served on the Roundtable for the Time-Picayune for six years. I received a B.A. from Baylor University; an M.Div. from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary; and a Ph.D. from Baylor University. I retired back near Star, Texas, and am pastor of First Baptist Church of Gatesville, Texas. |
