| Introduction | From my first gig playing a dance at my old elementary school at 14 years old, I've been a working musician. I've studied piano since the age of 5, and have also played clarinet, tenor sax, rhythm guitar, electric bass, and I sing too. Piano is my main instrument. The piano has taken me from Florida to the Yukon and back playing for cruise ship companies, tourism destinations, theatre venues, concerts, corporate events, house parties, bars, and saloons. I've spent many hours studying classical and jazz piano, and have been a student at Malaspina College (Nanaimo), North Texas State University (Denton), U.B.C. (Vancouver), and studied privately with Edward Parker (Vancouver), and Andy Laverne (New York). The skills I've picked up over the years come out in my teaching and playing in performances accompanying singers, musical theatre, cabarets, jazz combos, classical duets and trios, and solo piano. I reside in Vancouver with my family. |
