Introduction	Mother of four, grandmother of one I have spent most of my adult life working with children. Born and educated in New York City I moved to San Francisco in 1975 and began both my parenting and my career with kids. I brought art into the public school classrooms, nursery schools, was the art director at an after-school program plus volunteered as the art parent in my kids’ elementary school. I learned to be innovative on a shoestring budget. I also ran private art classes plus sold my own crafts. Most of my Kitchen Art projects were perfected during this time. In 1989 I moved to Mendocino County and had two more children. I continued working in the classroom and developed a project-based technique involving history, art and book writing in a group setting. I also began home-schooling my two youngest children. It was during this time I compiled my art projects into “Kitchen Art.” I also began studying and teaching Socratic Seminar and writing. I have published art projects and written a pre-teen novel. My life focus has been to teach and explore the world with children through art, writing, and thinking. Now I want to share my experiences with you! Let’s have fun together!
