About me

Introduction After serving the Lord for seven years in Mexico, Brian and Margaret Mooney moved on in response to God's call to minister in Belize. A little Caribbean enclave, formally known as British Honduras, Belize borders Mexico to the north, Guatemala to the west, and Honduras to the south. Belizeans are largely professing Christians, but nominalism and syncretism are common: the Spanish-speaking immigrants with their superstitions and superficiality; the Mayans with their underlying paganism; the Garifuna with their black magic; and many old colony Mennonites relying on their cultural and religious heritage as a means of salvation — each needs a culturally relevant and sensitive presentation of the gospel. On November 10, 2007, Brian Mooney passed away into the arms of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. His beloved wife Margaret, and son Cory, continue to minister in Belize as missionaries.
