Favorite Movies Where to begin? Perhaps my favourate film of all time is now a long-forgotten epic called 'The War Lord', followed by 'Full Body Massage'. Both of these films never made the headlines, but contain a wealth of 'inner meaning' at many different levels beyond the visual element.'The Graduate'as well as being hilarious was a wonderful demonstration of the hypnotic power of the older woman. Bancroft was awesome. 'The Sheltering Sky'- another one that never quite made it at the box office, but Paul Bowles script from his book was vividly captured. Finally, 'Born Free' (who was it said "Never work with children or animals"?...They stole the show, and I shed tears every time I watch it.
Favorite Music Wow - another enigmatic question! From Wagner to the Beatles, and Suzi Quatro to Callas, then back to Piaf. Raw Flamenco to the tranquility of Albernoni, The skirl of a massed pipe band to Louis Armstrong's Hot Seven, Julie Felix to Dylan - I love 'em all!
Favorite Books Hemingway, Rider haggard for the 'Blood n' Thunder' stuff, John Donne and John O'Donnohoe for the quieter moments. Mrs Gaskill for her narrative skills, and James Joyce for the dialogue (or maybe Sean O'Casey too). Captain Marryatt (one of my ancestors) for pure descriptive techniques, and James Thurber for a hearty laugh. (Yes, I know I've cheated a bit here in giving Authors rather than titles, but I get more scope that way!)

Why is there so little time in one's life to do all the things we want to do?
