| Introduction | I was born in 1971, in Mt. Airy, North Carolina, because it was the closest hospital to where we lived in Southwest Virginia. I graduated from Virginia Tech with a B.A. and M.A. in English and moved to Portland, Oregon in 1995. I became a web designer in 1995 at www.oaktree.com, worked at a dot com during the hey day, and a mid-sized eLearning agency where I was Portfolio Manager for HP and Microsoft. I met my wife, Cris, on a hike in June, 1996. We married in July, 1998, and had Eliot on NYE, 2000. Since then, we've had Lucy (June, 2002), Henry (December, 2004) and now Stella. We have a beagle named Ellie, three cats and five chickens. |
