Introduction	Amethyst Eyes is my first published book. In my blog I hope to share my discoveries, feelings (and occasional frustrations) as I journey through the uncharted world of writing and publishing (uncharted for me). I am a graduate of the Institute of Children's Literature and presently following an advanced writing course for graduates. I have 2 more books in the making- one for the course, and one that will tell the story of Tommy's parents. (Tommy is the main character in Amethyst Eyes). Since I am new to the world of publishing, I can honestly say that my first impression is that writing the book was the easy part. I managed to write Amethyst Eyes while caring for my two-year-old and grieving the loss of my baby. So, if you’re interested, welcome aboard!
Interests	working with my hands, from auto-mechanics to woodworking, painting, sewing, camping, skating, martial arts, baseball, family time, working with children, teaching
Favorite Movies	Renaissance Man, 50 First Dates, For Richer or Poorer, Galaxie Quest, Jumping Jack Flash, Harry Potter 1&3, Star Trek, and one day...Gilmore Girls. I don't like violence or stress-filled movies.
Favorite Music	Country music, Christmas music, and a little of everything else.
Favorite Books	I will have to think about it since I like so many.
