IntroductionMy name is Mitchell Capps and I'm a writer. That is "one who writes." I don't say that I'm a good one. I do say that I focus all of my compositions on Christ and showing love to people. If ever my intentions leave that nucleus of though then my writings have become worthless. The title of this blog, "Classical Ride" first of all utilizes my favorite adjective. Class,or Classical. Merriam-Webster defines "Classical" as meaning several things. 1. serving as a standard of excellence; of recognized value. 2. historically memorable. If I could achieve these two definitions for my writings and my life I will feel more than accomplished. All for One I'm writing. Thanks for joining the always...Classical Ride.
InterestsI'm primarily interested in using every avenue and oppurtunity in my life for serving Christ. I'm very interested in people and everything about them.
Favorite moviesOld movies are my favorites. I love them, there was so much more meaning. Not to mention class, and skill, and depth, and meticulous direction. I like suspense (not horror) I like "Meet John Doe", "Mr. Smith Goes to Washington", "The Fugitive", "The Dark Knight" "The Rear Window" "The Man Who Knew to Much", "Hoosiers", "You Can't Take It With You", "The Prestige" I mainly like movies with really good characters.
Favorite musicI like Oldies, Big Band, Christian Rock, Worship, classical.
Favorite booksThe Bible is my favorite. Anywhere you turn in it is treasure. I love it. The inspired word of God.I love to study it with other people and discover more about life. I like the classics and I like famous literature, and plays. I like any book that can keep my interest. Bartlett's Book of Familiar Quotations is fantastic, go check it out right now. I like "Blood Brothers", "Pilgrim's Progress",Webster's Dictionary, Roget's Thesaurus. And now I must comment on what is probably my favorite author in the world. C.S. Lewis. His book "Mere Christianity" comes second only to the bible. Given an in depth statement about Christianity he will break it down to understandable terms. His theories and insight in the book are a credit to the study of theology. Read the book. It's amazing!
