| Introduction | By day, I work in the Youth Services Department of the wonderful Skokie Public Library. It is such a fun and creative job! One minute I am singing songs and reading books in my Toddler Time storytime, and the next I am helping older kids find good books and do research. I also order the Youth DVDs and CDs and work on a lot of our department's publicity and brochures. By night, I am a freelance editor and writer. I work mostly with educational publishers and healthcare organizations, but I do a lot of work for individuals as well. I also have written two unpublished novels that I may get up the nerve to send out to publishers. Both still seem too raw, but compared to some of the stuff out there, they may be better than I think. It's hard to be objective about your own work. When I am not working, I turn into an insomniatic couch potato...so you can see why I like to keep busy! |
