IntroductionI am a Japanese female and live in the U.S. I first moved to California for my research as a scientist. For 8 years in CA, I went hiking and backpacking many places in California. So far I hiked many of parks in the Bay Area as day hikes. With backpacking I explored all National parks in CA, Shasta, Trinity Alps, and my favorite Sierra Nevada. The longest hike in Sierra is John Muir Trail (230 miles/370km) Also I had opportunities to explore Western half of the U.S: Montana, Wyoming, Arizona, Utah, New Mexico, Colorado. Now I live in Boston for another research opportunity. I explore East coast now: White mountains, Green mountains, upstate NY, Maine, and even Florida. Also I go hiking and backpacking in Europe since it is closer from East Coast. So far I hiked Tour du Mont Blanc, Vanoise National Park, Dolomite in Italy, some Austrian Alps. I love to be in the deep wilderness. It is simply very beautiful. Being in the mountains and admiring the beauty of nature is precious time. Through this blog I describe my adventures from a viewpoint of Japanese. My goal is to convey the beauty of nature and I hope the readers enjoy this blog, as if you travel there.
