| Introduction | At the age of 21, Maureen has accomplished many things in her life. She joined the Marine Corps at the age of 17 and served four years as a musician playing tuba and sousaphone for Marine Band San Diego at MCRD San Diego, CA. During her enlistment she married her only love interest and high school sweetheart, Austin, who had also had joined the Corps out of high school. Mom to one dog (Demolition), one cat (Buttons), two mice (Blanco and Pica), and five rats (Banana, Wendy, Dolly, Fable, and Chakra), she still finds time to perform with her belly dancing and burlesque troupes. Now, fresh out of the military, she is in search of a new job and waiting for the coming spring semester to start towards her vet tech associates and later, her bachlors in biology. |
