Introduction	Hi, I'm Emily. I was born and raised in Austin, Texas. I am a true Austinite. I enjoy watching all types of movies, the outdoors, reading, and I'm a huge family girl. The extent of my politial experience is that I have registered and am able to vote. I have not, however, voted in any election. I try to avoid any and all political topics in conversation because I feel like I don't know anything, so if I say something it would probably be stupid. I'm in this class because I need the credit. I took AP government in high school and didn't do so well so I'm motivated to do better this semester. I am looking forward to learn enough about how politics works so that when politics comes up in conversation I can jump in and have my own opinion that I can back up with facts.
