Introduction | Taught for 28 years. Although I taught 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades, 6th was my favorite and I spent 18 years working with 11 and 12-year-olds. For almost 8 years before that, I worked as an office manager for a college Dean and Professor who was one of the most intelligent men I've ever met. Good, thoughtful people are everywhere and sometimes ideas and information need to be shared. |
Favorite Movies | Not much of a movie buff. Really annoyed when favorite books are made into mediocre movies. |
Favorite Music | Probably one of the last people on the planet without an MP3 player. Enjoy music, just don't need it all the time. |
Favorite Books | I don't know how to choose. I do have favorite authors though. I look forward to books by Clive Cussler, Dick Francis, Tami Hoag, Robert Parker, and Tess Gerritsen. When I'm in the mood for romance I like Catherine Coulter and J.D. Robb (I know that's a pseudonym), and the best fantasy writer is Terry Brooks. I read books by Jonathan Kellerman, James Patterson, Patricia Cornwell, JA Jance, Jeffery Deaver, and more. I still try to keep up with new novels for young adults because of my growing grandchildren. I had to read the new series by Stephanie Meyers because I promised one of my former students that I would. Intriguing and quite clever, but obviously for young women, not the old and jaded. |
