| Introduction | Coach Matt Keel started wrestling at St. Cloud High School in Florida in 1990. Coach Keel had an impressive high school wrestling career posting a 28-3 senior record. He was unbeaten on his home mat throughout his career. He beat multiple state finalists during his junior and senior years and was St. Cloud’s first two-time region champion. His disappointing finish at the state tournament continues to motivate him as a coach. Coach Keel also played football, ran cross-country, and was a three-time letterman on the varsity weightlifting team. In his six years as an assistant the teams he helped out won 5 district team titles and had 12 individual state placers including 3 finalists. In three years at Skyline, he has had 16 state qualifiers and 8 state placers. |
