Introduction	The love of sewing and all things creative was passed down from my Nonna, Anastasia Amelia Gandini to my mother Guiseppina. My mother spent many hours with her mother Amelia poring over dress designs, fabric remnants and constructing quality garments. They were captivated by the gratification of creating, whether it be cutting & shaping fabric flowers, crocheting, embroidering, knitting, cutting dress patterns from old newspaper, or sewing frocks. I like to think of them like this, after the work of the day was done, stealing a few quiet moments to ponder their next creations, and mull over their fabrics….. Just as I do now. I opened my business Stroppiana Couture in 2008. I thoroughly enjoy the challenge of bringing to life my client's vision. For myself, I’m inspired by the femineity and glamour of vintage designs. I live in beautiful Melbourne with my husband Con & cat Lucilla. Here is to sharing "all things creative”, the inspirations that take us day to day. For creativity is an expression of the very essence of our selves.
