| Introduction | Hello! Welcome to my blog! I grew up in the seaside town of Swampscott, Massachusetts, and now live in Providence, Rhode Island. I founded Susabean Studios in 2010, and work as a cut paper artist, calligrapher, and graphic designer. I work both traditionally and digitally, and never, (ever!) tire of using my Exacto knife (along with a little bit of glue and perhaps a little glitter) or of the moment of surprise I experience each time I transform my little mound of colored paper fragments into a whimsical scene or character. My art is a colorful, multi-dimensional, multi-media circus of line and texture, colored pencils and pastels – a paper performance -- intended to delight and engage audiences of all ages. |
