| Introduction | I am blessed to be a wife, a mother of 5 very wonderful children, mother-in-law to 4 of their wonderful spouses, & proud grandma of 8 absolutely perfect grandchildren (aren't they all?!) The most important thing to know about me is that I love Jesus and want to live completely for Him. I fail at that more than I'd like, but God is faithful and I know that He is continuing to work in me. I want to get to a place in my relationship with Jesus that I can truly say To live is Christ and to die is gain. I cling to the promise that He who began His good work in me is going to see it through to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. How I long for the day when, with unveiled faces, we see Him face-to-face. Until that day, may I be faithful! |
| Interests | I love spending time with my children, grandchildren, and the rest of my family, homeschooling, sewing, knitting, crocheting, quilting, baking, cooking, gardening, canning, homemaking in general, reading, writing, and photography. Too bad there aren't more hours in a day : ) |
| Favorite Movies | I am currently enjoying the "Homestead Blessings" series by the West Girls. I also really enjoyed "God Grew Tired of Us". |
| Favorite Music | Most songs by MercyMe, Third Day, Chris Tomlin, and Casting Crowns, Erin Bates, The West Ladies, and many other Christian artists. I love bluegrass and Appalachian style hymns especially. |
| Favorite Books | Well, other than my favorite book of all, the Bible, I really enjoy the writings of Hannah Whithall Smith, Amy Carmichael's books, and the Journals of Jim Elliot. I am forever re-reading the Foxfire Series; and SO many more! I love to read. |
