| Introduction | I've driven school bus since 1979. All my 5 children played instruments. I play trumpet & didn't play after high school until I was about 30 or so. Now I've played in the South Holland Municipal Band for over 13 years. I also have transposed our church music book "The Psalter" for 5 instruments: Alto Sax, Flute, French Horn, Trombone & Trumpet. I'm working on Tuba. 'Christmas Songs' is a compilation of 44 song titles with 53 tunes. (for example: While Shepherds Watched Their Flocks by Night - there are 4 different tunes!). Several of the songs in this book have key changes (because the higher notes were hard to play. Also it makes it more fun to change key when you sing/play the next verse). There are CD's that I enjoy playing along with a choir singing. I have transposed the music for Trumpet for these. Some of the songs have descants; some have key changes. These CD's are 'Fitting Praises' and there are now 15 volumes available. All the songs are from the Psalms. About 20-25 songs per CD. |
