| Introduction | Scott Batulis President and CEO of Orange Regional Medical Center (Middletown, NY) since Aug., 2006. His accomplishments include the planning, financing and construction of the first new freestanding hospital in New York State in over 20 years (which opened August 5, 2011); and the affiliation between Orange Regional and Catskill Regional Medical Center - designed to coordinate and expand access to care for the Hudson Valley. Under Mr. Batulis’ leadership, Orange Regional became the first hospital in Orange Co. to perform emergency angioplasty. In addition, Orange Regional became a designated stroke center, launched a Palliative Care Program and became a smoke-free campus. Further, Mr. Batulis promoted the adoption of new technology such as the da Vinci Si HD robotic surgical system, digital mammography and open bore MRI, among many other accomplishments. Scott holds a Masters of Business Administration degree from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota and a Bachelor of Science degree in Long Term Care Administration from the University of Minnesota. He is a member of the American College of HealthCare Executives. |
