| Introduction | Hearing aid wearer since 2006. Reaction when first fitted - Wow! So many sounds I could not remember having heard before. Having supported RNID for many years I became an active member when North Staffordshire CCG decided to stop providing hearing aids on the NHS to people with mild hearing loss and many people with moderate loss. Things snowballed and I now find myself campaigning to raise awareness of what it means to have hearing loss and for the retention of NHS hearing services. Hearing aids are a lifeline for me and I am passionate about the service being available to all who seek help and would benefit from hearing aids. |
