| Introduction | A lifelong biker with a passion for travel, photography and writing, now retired, for the first time in my life I have the time to indulge myself in these interests., I also run a small non-profit organization, Scooters in the Sahara whose mandate is to supply small, reliable motorbikes to Bansang Hospital in the Gambia in conjunction with the Bansang Hospital Appeal a UK registered Charity founded and run by Anita Smith MBE. This involves putting together a team of riders each year to ride from the UK to Gambia across the Sahara Desert. A journey of a little under 4000 miles, crossing 7 countries, 1 war zone and a mine field. I have 3 books available on Kindle; Scooters in the Sahara, Old Grumpy on Tour, Old Grumpy Rides Vietnam, Scooters in the Sahara is also available from the website of the same name as is a DVD of one of the trips. |
