Introduction	2011 is the year in which I will turn 50, a milestone by any measure. I love my profession - teaching. For me, teaching is helping others discover what they know, learn what they need to know, and apply this knowledge to life. Learning is a reciprocal process - a give and take. I live with my two beautiful daughters, two dogs, a grumpy old cat, a guinea pig, and a fish... I read a lot, I re-write often, and think way too much. My students think I'm crazy; they might be right. I really think that's their way of saying I'm cool. My favorite thing is the momemt of epiphony - when the conscience and unconscience collide.
