The first time you had your shoes taken off - how surprised were you to see that you still had toes?
I'd been walking in new boots in cold and wet tracks with my boyfriend for days over Easter 1996. Had to take the boots off, amazed I still had toes in there! Decided to end the relationship as we approached our car. Even the boots are gone now.
