| Introduction | Family Echoes is a collection of stories based on my family history. I was lucky enough to be the fifth generation of my family to live in the house my great-grandfather built in western Massachusetts. My time in the large colonial house was restricted to summers during which I would spend hours at a time snooping through one hundred years of belongings, including over two thousand family letters. Through these letters I have gotten to know the ghosts who continue to speak to me. I aim to tell their stories. |
