Introduction	I am a writer and an avid reader. I enjoy books. Most of all I like them for being transportive: I appreciate their ability to introduce me to new characters and places and the various ways in which writers create and describe their scenery. I also admire their ability to get out a message. I most often prefer books over movies or TV because of a book's ability to play with language in ways that screenplays can't and, most of all, for the access they allow me into a character's head.

Favorite books	Sense and Sensibility, Pride and Prejudice, Wicked, There Eyes Were Watching God, Harry Potter, The Other Boleyn Girl
