| Introduction | Conceptually, overall I created Life Lessons to tie all of the photos together and provide a basis for a book that can grow into more books. In my beyond realism work I create whimsy in a lot of my photos. I try to create photos that grab the viewers attention to draw them in and then give them room to explore. My goal is to make people smile or reflect upon life in general when they view my assemblage of photos. I use my digital camera, Adobe Lightroom and Adobe Photoshop to produce my work. Sometimes there is barely anything that needs to be done to a photo besides sharpening. For my beyond realism work I spend almost all of my time in Photoshop completing my alternate worlds. I believe the next step in my work will be experimenting with my scanner to import old photos, different objects, shapes and textures into my photographic worlds. |
