| Introduction | I am E. Lee Jahncke Mead, a decorative painter living, working and constantly inspired by my hometown of New Orleans. I observe, I paint, I enjoy, I paint, I gild and I restore whatever around town it is people hire me to do. Some of my inspiration comes from the city itself and all that is going on here but also the work that people ask me to do. I find the process or what comes between the beginning and the end the most interesting. So I wanted this blog to be about just that. My process, what happens in between. In culture and in business we tend to focus on the finished product and rarely on the process of arriving there. For me the process is often more inspiring than the finished product. This blog will serve me like a sketchbook has but also as a "live" journey through the mind, passions and inspirations of a creative person. |
