Introduction	I had pet chickens when I was in first grade. They were really cute chicks at the Houston Galleria pet store, dyed baby blue and a bright yellow. Of course, after 3 months, they looked just like any grown chickens, white, and generally crapping all over the backyard. One day they disappeared. Grandma, who was visiting, claimed that they ran away. Then we had "home made" chicken soup for dinner.
