Introduction | I am a newcomer to quilting who had many misconceptions about this world of fabric, stitching, and quilt blocks. I thought quilting was only for those who have been doing this since they were able to hold a needle and thread; quilting was for those who were great seamstresses; quilts had beautiful, intricate designs that I could never learn; quilting was not for the younger generation and certainly NOT for boys or grown men. Well I was wrong. Totally wrong. And I'm glad I was. I have been quilting for 6 years. I took my first quilting class in 2005 and now I'm hooked. I had the opportunity to teach quilting classes at Joanne's and loved it. I have such a passion for quilting that I would love to share my passion and knowledge with as many people who are looking for a new hobby or seeking out a new talent. Like in the movie "Ratatouille" 'Anyone can cook', I believe "Anyone Can Quilt" Give it a try, you will be surprised at what you can create. |
