| Introduction | i'm an otr driver with my husband. we travel all 48 contiguous states and alot of canadian provinces....one of the questions i'm asked the most is, "how we are together, day after day, in that tiny truck and not kill each other?"...frankly, it is amazing, even to us, how well we get along & work together.. i was a firm believer that if i ever married again, the gown would have to include a matching straight-jacket!...but then after some years as a solo driver, i met brad..the 1st day, he told me that we were gonna get married..i thought,get away from this crazy man!!...i'm not sure what the fact that i didn't run from him says...all i know is that he changed my way of thinking...and in 7 short months we had tied the knot and were truckin!..it took a little period of adjustment..meshing our different driving personas..& even now, there are days when you just have to head back to the sleeper and slam that curtain shut!....but i can say that there's never been a day that i'd have it any other way....even after all these miles we still choke up over sharing a desert sunset,..and he makes me laugh every single day....not everyone can say that about the person they work with.... |
